Super Mario Bros x Converse One Star Ox
Converse teams up with Nintendo again next month to release another Mario-themed Converse sneaker in black or white leather. The white variation features a first-generation 'Super Mario Bros' rendition of Mario in all of his red pixel glory whilst the black shoe shows Mario in his enlarged post-mushroom-eating form where he's larger and more ungainly. The sneakers are being released in Japan only in March 2012 but importers might have a lead into supplying a few pairs for the domestic market.

HAHA Super Mario! These are pretty cool, they should bring out an entire collection with Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toadstool and all the favorites. I think that if they sell outside of Japan it will cost a fortune. I had to look at them for a while to realise that they are Converse.I see they have moved on from their classic Chuck Taylors. In all honesty I’m actually really looking forward to the release of the new Gorillaz Converse which I think come out at the end of this month or beginning of next. Pretty excited to see what they look like, hopefully they will sell them in the UK as im a bit obsessed with Converse.

These are smart. Love the white version. Can’t wait to get these on and play Super Mario 3DS. Think I’d like the black version a little more if they were all black, instead of having the white strip.
