Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere
Chanel presents N°5 Eau Première which the fashion house calls a fresh interpretation of the original and 'a decidedly lighter, fresher, softer interpretation of N°5. . . a silky-smooth harmony of notes that reveals the delicate facet of the now and forever fragrance.'
Blood Concept’s eau de blood
Blood Concept is a fragrance brand conceived by Antonio Zuddas and Giovanni Castelli who use blood as their inspiration for creating scents that correspond to the four blood types - A, B, AB, and O.
The duo describe their "A" aroma as follows: Intensely green and aromatic in its opening, Blood Concept A rushes at you with a minty, crushed herbs and leaves accord married with the rich spice of star anise. Its surprising dry down is amber-like, with hints of licorice and — believe it — the faint round softness of bubble gum. Of all these metaphorically blood-borne fragrances, Blood Concept A comes closest to evoking a perfume in the floral family, if only for a nanosecond, and because of its initial salvo of garden greens. It’s clear almost immediately, however, due to the signature metallic tinge that flashes like lightning through the olfactory air here and in the rest of the Blood Concept line that we are in a surreal, mineral world where fecundity is signified otherwise, and where flowers do not grow. A Notes: Green garden accord, tomato leaves, basil, star anise and metallic notes.

Lacoste Essential Men’s Cologne
A new cologne for men on the go, 'Essential' has Time Release Technology to ensure your cologne lasts throughout the day. With a fresh citrus scent, it will make you feel energetic and awake, yet it has some undertones of black pepper, sandalwood, and bergamot to bring some sex appeal and spice. Retail price $69 for 4.2 ounces.
Smell of Books
If a company really made a scent that smelled like new books and tried to sell it for $28.99, it would probably sell three cans before the company went out of business. The following gag is from 2009 and the website is a somewhat entertaining read. The 'Eau, You Have Cats' scent probably smells like wet dog.

Dove Go Fresh Body Mist, Rebalance
I recently received a sample of the Dove GoFresh Body Mist, Rebalance in the mail and I'm liking it. This refreshing scent is light and clean without a heavy lingering odor. With the fresh aroma of plum and a hint of Japanese cherry blossoms, the body mist will uplift your senses while making you feel fresher.
Not only does it smell wonderful, the spray has a touch of Dove moisturizer in it to help soften skin where it is applied. You can either use this as a perfume, or an all-over body mist straight out of the shower to help lock in moisture while smelling great. Long gone are the days when you had to spend a lot of money on a great smelling perfume, this retails at less than 10 dollars for a 3-ounce bottle.

Emma Watson for Lancome ‘Tresor Midnight Rose’
Emma Watson is the face of Lancôme’s 'Trésor Midnight Rose' fragrance and her debut ad campaign was directed by Mario Testino. Methinks the maestro photographer should stick to taking photos instead of dabbling in the arcane art of video.

Prada Candy
Prada released their eau de parfum 'Candy' last month and the advertising campaign as well as the descriptors used for the fragrance were a departure from the label's de riguer stance of muted elegance. The words 'excessive,' 'implosive,' 'daring,' 'sensual,' and 'joyful' have all been used to describe the fragrance by Puig who holds the license for Candy and Neiman Marcus who's the exclusive supplier for Candy until October. I'm wondering about the word 'implosive' however because I don't know many women who implode upon themselves....
I tried a sample of Candy over the weekend and I think I like it. The scent starts off sugary and eventually turns musky with the benzoin, vanilla, and caramel providing a sweet warm bottom note. Daniela Andrier concocted Candy for Prada and it's a scent that's targeted at the younger demographic with its sweet and simple fragrance which probably won't appeal to older women in search of a more complex and smokier fragrance.
